Mr. Jesse Frances McClinton's Obituary
On December 4, 1947, a son, Jesse Frances McClinton, was born to the late Abraham and Mary Frances McClinton in Meridian, MS. Jesse confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Baptist Church. He attended the Meridian Public Schools and graduated from Harris High School in 1966. Jesse enlisted in the what he thought was the best branch of service, The United States Navy. He served in the U. S. Navy for 26 years from 1967 to1993 retiring as Senior Master Chief He received several military decorations. He received the Good Conduct Award for Fidelity, Zeal and Obedince early in his career. He was involved in numerous counter-terrorism, intelligence and combat operation. He garnered expertise within the fields of intelligence. He was also an Enlisted Suiface Waifare Specialist. In addition to serving his country Jesse received a Master's Degree m Business Administration from Troy University. He was united in marriage to Betty Ruffin in March 1972. Jesse loved to travel. He showed love to everyone that he met. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a son, Michael (Cynthia) Ruffin; one daughter, Sharon Ruffin; his siblings, Leslie (Matar) McClinton of Meridian, MS, Abraham (Myra) McClinton, Jr. of Arlington, TN, James (Earline) McClinton of Marion, MS, Charles Ray McClinton of Meridian, MS, Luke (Prince) McClinton of Jackson, MS, Michael (Angela) McClinton of Meridian, MS and Anna (Robert) Holliday, Meridian, MS; ten Grandchildren; eleven Great Grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lawrence Jackson, Al Joseph McClinton and John McClinton and his step-mom Louisiana McClinton (Baby Lou).
