Mrs. Jessie Mae Arrington's Obituary
Ms. Jessie Mae Peters Arrington was born to the late Mr. Harry Peters and Mrs. Vivian Heidelberg Peters on March 26, 1944 in Clarke County. Jessie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Sweet Pilgrim UMC, where she served on the usher board until her health failed. She attended school in Clarke County, MS. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Eugene Arrington, Sr. on January 20, 1968, and to this union three children were born. Jessie was a homemaker who provided for her family. She was a very loveable person and would give everybody a hug and a kiss. Some people look at death as a sad occasion, but for Christians it is a glorious time, for our Lord and Savior has said so. Mrs. Jessie Arrington peacefully slept from this life to her eternal rest on April 23, 2019, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband; Mr. Eugene Arrington, Sr., Parents; Mr. Harry and Mrs. Vivian Peters, (3) Sisters; Ms. Catherine Peters, Ms. Alice White and Ms. Margie Peters, ( 4) Brothers; Mr. Harold Peters, Mr. Cozy Peters, Mr. Robert Peters and Richard (Herbert) Peters. She leaves to cherish her memories (2) sons; Mr. Eugene Arrington, Jr., and Mr. Gregory Arrington, both of Shubuta, MS; (1) Daughter, Mrs. Peggy (Kevin) Johnson, Quitman, MS and (1) Grandson, Octavious Arrington, Quitman, MS. (2) Sisters, Ms. Argie Logan, Durant, MS and Ms. Barbara White, Meridian, MS, (1) very special cousin, Mrs. Hattie Carter Gilmore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
