Mrs. Jessie Mae Carlisle's Obituary
Jessie Mae Carlisle was born January 15, 1926 in Meridian, MS to the late Jessie and Fannie Mae Dock. At the age of 88, she departed this life on December 20, 2014 with her daughter Patricia by her side in Meridian, MS. She was an active member of the Home Mission at St. Mary Baptist Church and worked with various charities.
She was predeceased by her husband Griffin Carlisle, (1) daughter, Linda Carlisle-Hinton and (2) sons Willie Junior and Michael Carlisle, (3) brothers; J.B., Roosevelt and Cleveland along with (1) sister, Agnes Dock.
She leaves to mourn: (5) siblings; (4) brothers; Raymond John, Willie Lee and Vester Dock and (1) sister; Julius Annie Smith; (8) children; (7) daughters: Betty, Dorothy Tillman, Fannie Moore, Louise, Mollie, Mary and Patricia Carlisle; and (1) son Bobby Ray Carlisle; (19) grand children; (40) great-grandchildren; (36) great-great grandchildren; (1) son-in-law; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
