Mrs. Jewel McConnell Watts' Obituary
Jewel McConnell Watts began her journey on September 23, 1954, in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of the late Cruss and Zemary McConnell. After moving from Chicago to Shubuta; Jewel met the love of her life, and married James Watts, and moved to Monroe, LA. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 2007; joined Logtown Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, and was baptized. On October 19, 2022; God called Jewel home to be with him. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and four brothers.
Jewel leaves a legacy of love to her husband; James Watts of Monroe, LA, two children: Tabitha Conner and Warren Conner of Shubuta, MS, a stepdaughter; Latrice Roberts of Vossburg, MS, three sisters: Martha Erves, Genise Conners of Chicago, IL, and Velois Irving of Shubuta, MS, three brother in laws: Authur(Loretta) Watts, Willie Watts, and Addie (Sandra) Watts, three sister in laws: Shirley Roberts, Barbara Ann Watts, and Mary Helen Bounds, fourteen grandchildren: Jeremy and Christopher Holmes, Ashanti Smith, Jihad and Derrell Conner, Latrell Pickett, Emya Grant, Jawarren Jordan, Mariah Conner, Latrell Roberts, Acillis Conner, Cliff Grant, Leah Conner, and Promise Owens, and a host of other relatives and friends.
