Jimmie Lee Evans, Jr. was born Sunday, September 27, 1964 to Jimmie Evans, Sr. and Bettie Faye Evans in Meridian, Lauderdale County, MS. He died Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 52. Jimmie, Jr. was the oldest of four children. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at Fitkins Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Meridian, MS. He attended Meridian Public Schools and later graduated from Moore Career College in Meridian, MS as a Licensed Barber and Cosmetologist. Jimmie, Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Bettie Faye Evans; maternal grandmother, Retha Mae Mitchell; and paternal grand-parents, Edward Evans and Alice Evans. Jimmie, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Jimmie Evans, Sr. of Meridian, MS; a sister, Alice (Levorn) Lipsey of Clinton, MS; two brothers, Derrick (Michelle) Evans of Clinton, MS and Anthony Evans of Meridian, MS; two aunts, Diane Young and Patricia Foster, both of Meridian, MS; five nephews, Justun, Cordell, Anthony, JoQuerna, and Anttwone; six nieces, Brianna, Kierstun, Amiyah, A'Kaiya, Anastasia, and Antanisha; a great uncle, Arthur James (Retha) Powe; and host of cousins and friends.
