Ms. Joann Johnson was born on August 10, 1957 to the late Romon Johnson and Christine Burton in Meridian, MS. She departed her life on May 24, 2021, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Tim Burton. Joann leaves to cherish her memories, longtime friend, John Lewis (Meridian, MS); two daughters, Maria Johnson and Jacqueline Johnson (Meridian, MS); one son, John Johnson (Meridian, MS). She leaves three brothers, Ray I Charles Burton, Eddie Johnson (Austin, TX), and Harry Johnson (Meridian, MS); three sisters, Elizabeth Burton, Marie Burton (Meridian, MS), and Peggy McDonald (Columbus, GA). She also leaves nine grandchildren, Desmond Johnson, De'Markus Johnson, Jermaine Harris Jr., J'Vaughnte Harris, Jacquese Johnson, Jamekia Lewis, Jackeri Johnson, Jacquavion Burton and Jackia Burton; six great-grandchildren, Devonte Davis, D'Courtland Davis, Desmond Johnson Jr., Jermaine Harris III, Autumn Walk, and Journi Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
