Joe Clay, Sr. was born on February 8, 1945 in Emelle, Alabama to the late James Henry Clay, Sr. and Bessie Mae Brown. He was preceded in death by one (1) daughter, Mary Ann Jones; two (2) brothers, James Henry Clay, Jr., and Isaac Clay; and three (3) sisters, Fannie Mae Sims, Ora D. Wallace, & Jessie Lee Coleman. He leaves to mourn his passing three (3) children, Joe Clay, Jr. (Rhonda), Vicky Ann Clay, & Tony's Nichole Clay (all of Meridian, MS); ten (10) grandchildren; ten (10) great grandchildren; and a very special granddaughter Vyeshia Jones.
