John "Bunny" Hopkins was born on May 25, 1960 in Meridian, MS to the late Betty Simmons and Allen Hopkins. Bunny was a kind hearted, outspoken, and loving person who met no strangers. He departed his life on July 6, 2022 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Simmons, father Allen Hopkins, brother Terry Hopkins and son Jontae Ruttley. He leaves to cherish his life and memories; his children: Loreal (Ben) Reed LaTashia Brown, Johniqua Hopkins, Johniqwilla Barfield, Clarissa Hopkins, Jarlissa Hopkins, Melissa Barfield, John Hopkins Jr, JaTerrion Hopkins, and Marcus Barfield; his siblings: Mary Louise Simmons, Saundra Hopkins, Michelle (Arthur) Ivy, Jimmy Ray (Kay) Hopkins, and Tony Stevenson; 14 grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
