Mrs. Johnnie Mae Malone's Obituary
Johnnie Mae Malone, the daughter of the late Johnny Lee and Creola Thomas, was born on July 22, 1955 in Meridian, Mississippi. She departed this life Monday, August 5, 2024.
Johnnie Mae was educated in the Meridian Public School District. In adulthood, she united with New Life Independent Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member. Because of her love for others, Johnnie Mae spent many years as a caregiver. She was known as the babysitter for the children in her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, George Earl Thomas; brothers, John Wesley, Ervin Thomas, Allen Thomas, Davis Thomas, and Lamar Thomas; and one sister, Jo Ann Thomas Portis.
She leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by one sister, Dorothy Palmer; three brothers, Willie "Rob" Thomas, Curtis Thomas (Renee) and Joe Cephus Thomas; a special friend, Robert Hersey; her goddaugh-ter, Angie Young Ball; two god-grandsons, Demetric Young and Luke Ball, Ill, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
