Mr. Johnny Lee Bolden Sr.'s Obituary
Our beloved father Johnny Lee Bolden Sr. entered into God's Kingdom on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, after a long battle with prostate cancer. Johnny was born to John L. Bolden and Mary Louise Bolden on February 29, 1952, in Meridian, MS. When Johnny was younger, his favorite activity was watching and playing sports. His favorite football team ·was the San Francisco 49ers and favorite basketball team ·was the Los Angeles Lakers. He attended Meridian High School where he completed grade 11 and later attended Job Corp in Memphis, TN where he completed various trades and received his GED. He then pursued his career as a Navy Sailor and traveled the world while simultaneously creating a traditional and close-knit family. In 1969, Johnny met Sandra, a match truly made in heaven. Johnny & Sandra went on to have ten (10) children: Jacqueline Hall (Roderick), (Oxford, MS), Exzenia Clay (Bobby), Tiana Whitehead, Joanie Lewis (James), Janet Bolden, LaQuandra Bolden, Johnny Bolden Jr., (Trina), Jonathan Bolden, Jarrell Bolden. (All of Meridian, MS). Johnny was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. He loved his family and loved sharing love and laughter with as many people as possible. Johnny had a smile that could light up a room and a presence that could calm a storm. Johnny joins his loving wife, Sandra Bolden, Father, John L. Bolden, Mother Marv Louise Bolden, Brother John L. Bolden, Sisters Nelly Ann and Mary Ann Bolden, and daughter Sonya L. Pointer (Michael) in Heaven. He is survived by many loving family members, including his brothers Jimmy Lee Bolden, Eddie Bolden, Otis Bolden, Albert Bolden Sr. (Dorthea), Kenneth Wayne Bolden (Susan); sister Ada Conley (Lee) (26) Grandchildren; Marvin Horn Jr., Mardreekus Horn, Marneisha Horn, Lasandra Bolden Harris (Douglas), Kennith Pointer, Michael Pointer Jr., Deja Carson (Markus), Haleigh Pointer, Tamarcus Cole, Myneeka Whitehead, Mykale Whitehead, Asia Crosby, Fredeja Crosby, India Crosby, Madison Crosby, Angel Brown, Jayda Conner, Jonathan Conner Jr., Chase Whitehead, Jordan Barfield, Romario Barfield, Johndarrius Bolden, Ja'Kvia Bolden, Jewel Bolden, Joi Bolden, and Achilles Bolden. (18) Greatgrand children; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
