Mr. Johnny Lee Irby, Sr.'s Obituary
Johnny Lee Irby Sr. was born July 16, 1958 to Mozell Irby Sr. and Lorine Irby in Halsell Alabama. Johnny Lee attended Meridian Public School where he was a graduate of the Meridian High School Class of 1977. Upon completing High School Johnny join the United States Army when he completed his tour or duty. During his tour he exchanged vows to Betty Jean Clayton where they were married for 39 years. Johnny was employed with the City of Meridian for 38 years at the Lakeview Golf Course. Those who preceded him in death were his father: Mozell Irby Sr. and his wife Betty Jean Clayton Irby. Johnny Lee enjoyed all sports. He especially enjoyed the game of golf. Johnny also enjoyed spending time with his most beloved Uncle Ollie, they worked together, attend school together, and all the small talk times, they enjoyed an unbreakable bond, a bond built on togetherness and a uncle/nephew bond. Johnny leaves to cherish his memories; a loving mother Mrs. Lorine Irby, One daughter Johnika Irby, Two sons; Johnny Lee Irby Jr. and Tyreese Thomas, Two grandsons Wilmond Irby and Sincere Taylor, Four brothers Roosevelt Irby, Willie Irby, Columbia, Ohio; Mozell Irby and James (Peaches) Irby all of Meridian; Three sisters Ada Mae and Tracey Renae Irby, Meridian, MS, Mary (Karl) Smith, Detroit, MI; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and special friends.
