Johnny Lee Ramsey. Jr., the first of six children, was born to Mrs. Lorene Nickson Ramsey and Mr. Johnny Lee Ramsey, Sr. on November 3, 1957, in Meridian, Mississippi. Educated in the Meridian Public School District, he joined The Job Corps Education and Training Program. After completing his training, he returned home and worked as a concrete finisher and a landscaper. He was a loving person with a zest for life. He loved and cared deeply for his family and close friends. He united with East Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was baptized by Pastor R. L. Bohannon in 1997. He was faithful in assisting in the caring and cleaning of the church. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lee Ramsey Sr., sister, Jeanene Ramsey, brothers, Willie Jeffery Ramsey and Darryl Ramsey, along with his special friend, Vera Lee Monegan. Johnny Lee Ramsey, Jr.'s earthly life was exchanged for eternal rest on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, Mississippi. Cherishing his memories and looking to God for comfort and peace are his loving and devoted mother, Lorene Nickson Ramsey of Meridian, Mississippi; one brother, Robert Earl (Felicia) Ramsey; three sisters, Jeanette (Charles Lee) Smith, Jeanette Ramsey, all of Meridian, and Katie (Willie) Cole of Dekalb, Mississippi; two aunts, Rose Nickson Goodwin anC: Louisiana Rogers. Also treasuring his memories are stepdaughter, Katherine (Danielle) Hampton and stepson, Danny Monegan. his loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
