Mrs. Joyce Ann Clayton Boyd's Obituary
Joyce Ann Clayton Boyd was born February 26, 1968 to Carol Hill Clayton in Chicago, IL. She excepted Christ at an early age at Grace Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Meridian High School. She was employed by the Meridian Public-School District for 14 years where she gained many friends. People that knew her loved her and called her Boogaloo. She was known for her love of fishing, her clowning, the love of her kids and grandkids. Her big heart and humble spirit. She departed this life on Sunday April 22, 2018 at her home. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband John Howard Boyd, her grandmother Minnie Friend, her father Joe Willie Clayton and her sister Christine Gainey. She leaves to cherish her mother Carol Clayton of Meridian, MS. Two daughters Jocelyn Clayton and Jacqueline Clayton of Meridian, MS. Her four grandchildren Jy'Darius Tell, Jy'Dariun Clayton, Jha'Keilah Clayton, and Jaylan Tell of Meridian, MS. One God grandson Leviticus Madison of Meridian, MS. Three brothers Andre Clayton of Chicago, IL.; Joe Willie and Willie B. Clayton of Columbus OH. Three sisters Joann Clayton of Ohio. Carnie Clayton-Brown(Jelani) and Christina Clayton(Johnny) of Meridian, MS. Two aunts Shirley R. Nicholson and Cathy B. Hill of Meridian, MS. One God daughter Adrienne Williams of Livingston, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
