Ms. Joyce Dear Marshall's Obituary
Joyce Dear Marshall was born on September 26, 1947 to the union of Harry and Katie Dear. She departed this life on · March 18, 2016 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: Joseph and Florence Bryant, one sister; Nancy Moore and four nephews: Randy and Terrance Dear, also Anthony McCree and Terrence Winnick. Joyce was a member of Pearlie Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. She received her education at Shirley-Owens High School in Quitman, Mississippi from where she graduated in 1965. Later she married Willie Marshall Jr. and to this union four sons were born. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her sons; Jerome Marshall, El Paso TX, Shelton Marshall currently in Iraq. Paul and Jeffery of Quitman, MS; along with their sisters; Renee Sumerall, Ridgeland, MS; and Maranda Turner, Shubuta, MS; Four Sisters: Rosie Dear, Barbara McCree, Alice McGee, Debra Dear all of Quitman, MS; Two Brothers: David (Maxine) Dear, Shubuta, MS; James Darryl (Celia) Dear, Paulding, MS; Two Aunts: Lovie (George McGee, Quitman, MS; Rosie Shanks, Chicago, IL; Eleven Nieces, Five Neph-ews, Three Granddaughters, Two Aunts a host of cous-ins and friends, also a special sister-in-law, Katie Ford; and special friends; Ms. Jessie Sterling and Gloria Cannady.
