Ms. Jujuan Eakins' Obituary
Jujuan Eakins was born July 22nd 1959 in Lauderdale Mississippi to Teola Eakins-Whitehead and Willie Matheny-Lard. As a young child she moved with her mother and two older brothers Bobby Eakins and Jerry Eakins to Cleveland Ohio. Jujuan Eakins spent her childhood in Cleveland and her Summers down South in Lauderdale Mississippi with her Grand-parents Lewis Eakins and Hattie Eakins. She spoke often of her love and admiration for her grandparents and all that they taught her. As a young adult she studied Fashion and Design at Cleveland State and later went on to Study in Puerto Rico at the American University. She was Fluent in Spanish, French, English, and Dutch. After Puerto Rico she moved to New York City and then onto Paris, France. Her last stop was Amsterdam, The Netherlands where she lived for 27 years of her life before sadly passing away August 28th 2017. Jujuan Eakins often spoke of her love for her mother Teola and her brother Benjamin Whitehead and her two kids Teola and Bennie. Jujuan Eakins was a joy in our lives. A person of optimism and unique strength. Jujuan believed life was meant to be enjoyed and lived. Love was Jujuan's guide and her character. Jujuan was always Unique and Authentic. She spoke what she believed and had a tremendous Faith in God. Allowing God to be her way and feet. WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND MISS YOU.
