Ms. Julia Ann Boyd-Marshall's Obituary
After more than a year of valiantly fighting cancer, Julia departed this life on January 4, 2018....
Ms. Marshall was born on December 19, 1955 in Meridian, Mississippi to Wyatt Boyd, Jr. and Mae Nell Clay Boyd. For her entire lifetime she resided in Meridian....
Julia loved learning and excelled in her academic studies throughout her schooling. she later became a certified dental assistant, in which she was highly skilled and was entrusted with leading roles in the dental office.
Julia was very kind, mild, friendly and was known for her infectious smile. Amazingly, she had the ability to maintain strength and a positive outlook through difficult times. It was a joy just to be in her presence. She loved her family and worked hard to care for her children when she was able. Sadly she was seriously injured in a car wreck back in 1991, which left her totally disabled for the rest of her life. Her dear sister, Diane, lovingly stayed by her side as an unmatched caregiver around the clock. Through this special relationship these two formed an untreatable sisterly bond and were truly best friends.
Julia is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, and all who truly knew her. Her unforgettable personality and happy spirit will endure with us in our hearts and memories.
Preceded in death are her parents, Wyatt and Mae Nell Boyd, and her guardian aunt, Gracie Boyd Delk. Survivors include her son, Dewayne Marshall, her daughter, Maria G. Boyd-Porter (Chris), granddaughters, Arianna and Darnesha Porter; brothers, Arthur L. And Robert C. Boyd; her sister, Diane Boyd; her uncle, Alvin Clay (Earline) and a multitude of cousins and friends.
