Mr. Julius Jordan's Obituary
Julius Raymond Jordan Sr. better known as "Spud" was born on May 26, 1951 , in Chicago Illinois. Spud was the second child born to the late Thomas Leroy Jordan Sr. and Luella Jordan. His siblings Thomas Leroy Jr., Clifford Sr, and Julie Ann Riggs preceded him in death. Spud grew up in the Racine Courts of Chicago II where he met and later married Gloria Jean Jackson on June 16, 1973. Spud attended Morgan Park High School and graduated in 1970. He loved school and extracurricular activities especially, baseball. He led the Morgan Park Mustangs' baseball team to the City Championship in 1969, where they won second place. Spud worked as an electrician at Illinois Bell where he retired in 1991 . However, his passion was carpentry. You could always catch him fixing on something with a pocket full of screws and bolts. His other hobbies included fishing, hunting, and listening to the blues. Spud leaves to cherish his fond memories his children: Cherie Longmore (Christopher), Julius Jordan Jr., Derrick Jordan, and Rachel Jordan of Merrillville, IN; eight grandchildren; his special friend Priscilla Brown; his siblings: Mary Jordan (Thomas Jr), Valerie Jordan (Clifford) of Sauk Village, IL, Beverly Maple (Perry Sr.), Milford Jordan (Terrie), Dean Jordan (Lisa) of Rock Falls, IA., Calvin Jordan (Allison) of Pachuta, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
