Mrs. Kay Dumas Green's Obituary
Kay Dumas Green was born in Meridian, Mississippi on August 29, 1942 to the late Samuel L. Dumas and Luella Jordan Dumas. She attended school in the Mississippi School District. Kay closed her eyes on May 4, 2023 at her home in Pasadena, California. Preceding her in heavenly sleep are her parents, husband James E. Green, Son, Robert E. Green, identical twin sister, Fay Dumas, sister, Lindy Dumas and brother, Joe Dumas. While in Mississippi Kay met and married James Edward Green and in 1965 they moved to Pasadena, California and made it their home. To this union four children were born, Robert L. (deceased), Julie M., Karl E., and Kennith C. Well Done Hawk! Kay had the ability to showcase her warm and caring spirit with a beautiful smile. She was a hard worker who worked hard to make ends meet for her family. She had a giving heart, not only for her family, but for others as well. She was the most giving person to whomever came across her path. When that growl in the stomach hit your back she touched it. Never turning away a hungry soul. Green Tatum, Dorian J. Green Swain, Kennith C. Green Jr., Robert E Shamburger, Anthony E. Taylor and Darryl D. West. Eight (8) great grandchildren: Karshay Tatum, Kevin Tatum, Coreyon Harvey, Deajah Taylor Lajace, Syhnia West, Rylee and Reginald Swain. A host of many more grandchildren and great grandchildren, several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, other family members and friends.
