Ms. Kimberly Renata Govan's Obituary
Kimberly Renata Govan was born January 5, 1983 in Jackson, Mississippi to Audra Govan and the late James Jones, Jr. The family later moved to Meridian, Mississippi.
Kimberly who was affectionately called “Kim”, was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary M.B. Church. She had truly accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She graduated from Northeast Lauderdale High School in 2001. She attended Meridian Community college, and was selected to participate in an internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This was an experience of a lifetime for her. She was very adventurous and enjoyed life to the fullest. She returned to Meridian Community College and earned a degree in Respiratory Therapy. She worked at Rush Foundation Hospital, and later moved to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where she worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Biloxi Regional Hospital until the time of her passing. Kim transitioned from this life on Saturday, February 4, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother and stepfather, Audra and Johnny “G-Papa” Redeemer of Meridian, Mississippi. Four sisters, Tamekia Weeden of Jackson, Mississippi, Jamie Govan of Meridian, Mississippi, Nycol Nicholson of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and James Jones, III of Atlanta, Georgia. Three loving nephews, Devon Weeden, Terry “TJ” Bryant, Jr. and Terrick Bryant. Two nieces, Kelcie and Baylei Barlow. Two very special friends, Reginald Moore, of Meridian, Mississippi, and Nathan Cole of Silverdale, Wisconsin. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
