Mr. Larry Carr's Obituary
Larry Carr was born December 30, 1955 to the late Zeb Reed and Mary Louise Bell Carr, in Meridian, MS. He was baptized and raised up in Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, MS. Larry attended Meridian Public Schools, graduating from Meridian High School, East Mississippi Community College and continuing his education at Mississippi College. While in high school and college, he was recognized as a standout running back in the game of football. For over 40 years, Larry excelled in a broadcasting career at WQIC in Meridian, MS, WSLY in York, AL and most recently at WZNJ, WXAL and WINL in Demopolis, AL. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, David, Charles, Harold, Sr. and Reginald, Sr. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Rhonda; daughters, Kendra (Alex) Carr Winnick of Meridian, MS and Erika Sloan of Manor, TX, and a son, Keriko (Lamesha) Carr of Pflugerville, TX; 8 grandchildren, Alexa, Jordan, Jaelyn, William, June, Ke'Erick, Ma'Kayla, and Montrelle; sisters, Dorothy Graham of Orlando, FL, Sylvia Carr of Champaign, IL, Barbara (George) Lynch, Mary Ott, Miria (Jerome) Raney and one brother, Bobby Carr, all of Meridian, MS; one aunt, Deloris Young of Oklahoma City, OK; sister-in-law Shae Robinson and brother-in-law Alex C. Goodman, Jr. of Jackson, MS and a host of other close family members and friends.
