Mr. Larry S. Carter's Obituary
Larry S. Carter was born on February 15, 1954 in Meridian, Mississippi to the union of George and Ethel (Harbin) Carter. He was proceeded in death by his father.
He was a graduate of Meridian High School Class of 1973. Shortly after high school, he entered into the United States Army. Upon honorable discharge, he began a lengthy career aboard the Naval Air Station of Meridian, MS as a Civil Servant.
Larry married the love of his life, Ida L. Clark on December 19, 1978 and to this union, three (3) daughters were born.
Larry was very active in the community and mentored many youth. He was an inspiration to many. Whether he was Coach Carter or Mr. Larry, he was always motivating and encouraging to others.
He was also very faithful and devoted to the Boys & Girls Club. He was a loving and devoted Father and Grandfather. A true friend and loyal man. He was also a huge and faithful fan of the Pittsburg Steelers.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories; his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Ida Carter; three (3) daughters: Brandy Carter-Harris (Donsha), Alicia N. Carter and Crystal L. Carter; Grandchildren: Jalin Harris, Londyn Harris, Kingston Dunn, Justice Dunn, Dallas Hersey, Markee Jones, Sanaa dean, Samia Dean, Makalia Houston and Memphis Houston; God-Daughter, Kadesha Houston; Siblings: Ethel Radcliff, Janie Parker, Mary L. McCall (David), Sudie Twilley (Tom), George Carter, Jr. (Bobbie), Tommy Carter (Ghis), Debra Carter-Buckner, Linda Carter-Foy, Nathaniel Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends whom loved him dearly.
