Mr. Larry D. Heard's Obituary
Mr. Larry D. Heard was born in Fort Leonardwood, MO to the late Colonial and Ezella Heard. Larry grew up in the West Pullman Park of Chicago, Illinois. He was a wiz when it came to sports. Basketball was his favorite. He attended Samuel L. Gompers Elementary School, Class of 1975. He graduated and went to Harlem High School (Falcons). He graduated Class of 1979. Once he finished high school, he followed into his fathers footsteps and joined the United States Army. Larry did not meet any strangers. He had a beautiful smile and a laugh that was one of a kind. Larry worked at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, LA. He also worked at Pearl River Community Junior College in Poplarville, MS. Larry is preceded in death by: his father, Colonial Heard Jr.; sister, Wanda Kelsie; his wife, Catherine Richardson Heard. He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories: his mother, Ezella Heard of Pachuta, MS; his son, Larry Heard Jr.; grandson, Kai Heard of Covington, LA; sister, Pamela (Ermon) Page of Porterville, MS; 6 nephews: Stevie, Marino, Ryan, all of Clearwater, FL; Anthony, Antonio and AJ, all of Meridian, MS; 2 nieces: Candace of Meridian, MS; Andrea of Scooba, MS; 22 great-nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
And a very special family, The Rays of Las Vegas.
