Mr. Larry Darnell Johnson's Obituary
Larry Darnell Johnson was born on March 9, 1959, to the late Annie Louise Johnson and the late Joseph L. Martin. At an early age, Larry and his family relocated to Madison, IL. during his time there, he took on the trade of construction. After his mother became ill, Larry returned to Meridian, MS to assist in caring for his mother.
Shortly after he returned home, Larry joined Greater Outreach Missionary Baptist church where he truly enjoyed singing in the Male Chorus. On January 18, 2020, at Rush Foundation Hospital, God saw that it was time to call his son home.
Preceding him in death are: his parents: Annie Louise Johnson & Jospeh L. Martin; his grandparents: Issac Johnson, Marie Johnson, Marie Little and UV Holman.
Larry leaves to cherish his loving memories: five brothers: Lynn (Edna) Mauldin, Dennis (Renee) Martin, Jospeh Jr. (Debra) Martin, Jason Martin all of Meridian, MS; Jerry Johnson of Hattiesburg, MS; four sisters: Norma (Larry) Smith, Ola (Charles) Cole, Marie (Robert) Franklin, all of Meridian;Joann (Raymond) Rayford of Anderson, IN; three aunts: Susie Little, Lorine Malone, and Mattie Lumpkin; one uncles, Bobby (Sadie) Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
