Mr. Laymon Gowdy's Obituary
Laymon Gowdy was born on February 17, 1951 to the Late Ola Mae Gowdy in PorterviIIIe, MS. He attended Kemper County High School. He united with Saint Luke Primitive Baptist Church at an early age. On Saturday, June 6, 2015, he rededicated his life to our Lord and Savior under Pastor Willie J. Jefferson. On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Specialty Hospital God called him home. He leaves to cherish his memories: (2) Daughters Lakeesha McCoy (Harrison) of PorterviIIe, MS and Deandria Spells (Gabriel) of Jacksonville, Florida; (1) Son: Cory Gowdy of Meridian, MS; (2) Grand Children: LaDarius McCoy and Harkieria McCoy of Porterville, MS; (4) Siblings: (3) Sisters, Mary Hopson, Asalean Kirman (Pearlie) and Brenda Thedford-Warbington (Anthony) of Meridian,MS. (1) brother, Willia.rn T Gowdy of Meridian, MS; (4) Aunts Dorothy Lavender, Tuscaloosa, AL; Annie Gibbs, Glady Jimison and Sally Eades; all of Porterville, MS; (1) Uncle: David Gowdy of Chicago Ill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who love and will miss him dearly
