Mrs. Lena Pearl Knox's Obituary
Lena Pearl Knox was born on July 3, 1942 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Izella and Jean Dubose. Lena Pearl joined Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, and continued to serve as a life lone member until her health failed. In the course of her life, Lena Pearl attended the Dubose School, and later transferred to the Meridian Public School to the Meridian Public School District. For many years, she was employed at Quitman Knitting Mill, where she worked as a faithful employee until her health declined. Prior to that, she was employed with Mississippi Action for Progress Head Start. In the early morning hours of Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, Jesus whispered softly "Well done thy good and faithful servant, come unto me." Being obedient, Lena Pearl took his hand. Lena Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, William Knox; one son: Melvin Jerome Knox; her parents: lzella Price and Jean Dubose; eight brothers: Clarence Rice, Fred Nickles, Lenell Dubose, Miller Dubose, Jimmy Dubose, I.W. Dubose, Tommy Dubose, and Albert Dubose. She leaves to forever cherish her memory one son, Edward Knox (Bernice) of Meridian, MS; one daughter: Jennifer Knox of Meridian, MS; one granddaughter: Taderia Davis of Atlanta, GA; one grandson: Aaron Mosley of Meridian, MS; one great-grandson: Kashton Rhone of Atlanta, GA; one brother: Walter Dubose of Memphis, TN; two sisters: Idell Brown of Collinsville, MS and Annie Dubose of Memphis, TN; one sister-in-law: Mamie Knox of Meridian, MS; a special grandson-in-love: Jantaidrae Rhone of Atlanta, GA; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly.
