Mr. Leo Theandre Gibbs' Obituary
Leo Gibbs, Sr., affectionately known as Thee, passed peacefully from this life on February 18, 2023 at Diversity Care of Quitman, MS. He was surrounded and supported by his loving wife and family during the last days of his life.
He was born at Matty Hersee Hospital on September 5, 1970. To the late brother Josh Lee and sister Ann Gibbs of Cuba, AL.
Leo started his academic career at Sumter County School District and attended Sumter County High School.
For a number of years, he worked at M&M Car Wash where he detailed and washed cars like a pro. His passion was to please and satisfy his customers and he did just that.
Leo loved his devoted wife, children, and his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his father, Josh Lee Gibbs; and his mother, Shirley Ann Gibbs.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: a devoted wife, Latonya Gibbs of Meridian, MS; his children: Quatrecia McShane of Columbus, MS; Jasmaine Gibbs of Detroit, MI; Fatima Brantley of Livingston, AL; Ashely (Deon Speight) Gibbs and Leo (Marnetta) Gibbs Jr., both of Livingston, AL; Joshua Gibbs of Mobile, AL; Kari (Allisha) Hudson of Meridian, MS; and Theundre and Raheim Gibbs, both of Meridian, MS; his two brothers: Lorenzo (Angela) Gibbs and Zedrick (Sherika Walker) Townsend. He also leaves to cherish his precious memory 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members that loved him dearly.
