Mr. Leon Adams' Obituary
Leon W. Adams was born July 16, 1944 to the late Minnie Mae Ferrill. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Mae Ferrill and stepfather, Arthur Ferrill; two precious brothers, Gene Otis Adams and Lonnie Ray Ferrill.
Leon received his education in Stonewall Public School System and later to Central High School in Enterprise MS. Leon joined Rising Star Baptist Church at an early age and later Rising Star Baptist Church combined with other churches and became First United Missionary Baptist Church of Stonewall, MS. With heartfelt desire, he was happy to fulfill the call of God by serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Usher and also a Custodian at First United.
After high school, Leon went to work at Erwin Mills which later became Burlington Industries. There he worked for 32 years as a Loading Dock Operator and a Supervisor.
Leon leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Loreta Adams of Stonewall, MS; two daughters, Lora (Andra) Ford and Latoya (Rodrigus) Williams, both of Stonewall, MS; three granddaughters, Tiara Holloman of Dallas, TX, Kiara Holloman and Marion Lynette Adams, both of Stonewall, MS; two grandsons, Melvin Adams of Stonewall, MS and Antonio Wallace of Dallas, TX; one brother, Douglas (Debra) Ferrill of Meridian, MS; one sister, Shirley (Grady)
Hall of Cleveland OH; four sister-in-laws, Deborah (Wayne) Cobb, Eva (George) Bartley, Willie Mae Ferrill and Earline Adams, both of Stonewall, MS; two brother-in-laws, Thomas (Grace) King and Shellie (Betty) King and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
