Mr. Leroy Lee's Obituary
Leroy Lee was born on March 10, 1949, in Lauderdale, Mississippi to the late L.A. Gibbs and Carrie Mae Lee Naylor. He accepted Christ and united with Elizabeth United Methodist Church in Lauderdale, MS, where he served faithfully until his health failed. He met and married the love of his life, Toma Faye Lee on October 2, 1987 and they shared eight children together. He was employed at Carpet Junction in Meridian, Mississippi as a Warehouse Laborer. He loved his bosses, David and Shelia Mayo and was dedicated to his job. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, dancing, playing pool, carpentry, helping anyone he could and telling everyone about his adventures journey while living in California. He answered the Father's call on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Regency Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his father, L.A. Gibbs, stepfather, Matthew Naylor, maternal and paternal grandparents, one son, Robert Hughes, Jr, one grandson, Mason Lee, one great-grandson, Jamon Hill Jr.; one sister, Fannie Nixon; a special aunt that help raised him, Gracie Mae Lee Gibbs, and a special cousin that was like a brother, Eligah Gibbs; numerous other aunts and uncles. He leaves to cherish his precious memories to: the love of his life and wife of 35 years, Toma Faye Lee of Lauderdale, MS; a loving and devoted mother, Carrie Mae Lee Naylor of Meridian, MS; (2) two sons, Roger Lee and his friend Tasha Taylor of Detroit, MI, Eligah (Eli) Lee (Ariel) of Toomsuba, MS; (5) daughters, Sara Russell (Ray) of Orlando, FL, Valisha (LeLe) Lee-Lloyd (Christian) of Atlanta, Georgia, Melvina Okoh (Emeka) of Los Angeles, CA, La Trice Braziel of· Meridian, MS and Timberly Breshers of Lauderdale, MS; one (1) sister, Betty Ruffin of Detroit, MI, raised like a sister, Brenda Lee of Atlanta, Georgia; one (1) aunt, Bertha Fluker of Meridian, MS; twenty-seven (27) grandchildren, twenty-five (25) great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and other loving relatives I friends that love and will miss him dearly.
