Lessie Mae Ruffin was born to the late Cora Lee and L.C. Rutledge, Sr. on July 3, 1943. She transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 18, 2019.
She confessed Christ at an early age.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Alex T, Ruffin, Sr.; 2 sons: Alex T. Ruffin Jr. and Eddie (Redd) Ruffin; one grandson, DeAngelo McElroy; six siblings: Jessie L. Tootles, Alice Ware, Gracie Sheffield, Jordan Ruttley, L.C. Ruttley Jr. (Junebug), Shirley Ruttley and Eunice McGrew.
Lessie leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters: Adrine (Willie) Tucker of Lisman, AL; Belinda (Jimmy) McElroy of Toomsuba, MS; Gloria & Elaine Ruffin, both of Meridian, MS; two sons: Victor (Jessie) and Otis Ruffin, both of Meridian, MS; one stepson, Roosevelt Burrell of Lisman, AL; three sisters: Clara (Sanders) Ruffin, Eva & Katherine Ruttley, all of Meridian, MS; one brother, Bennie Ruttley of Meridian, MS; twenty-two (22) grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
