Mrs. Levie Marie Nabors' Obituary
Levie Marie Nabors was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Known as “Marie” she was born in DeKalb, MS, and spent her life spreading love and joy to those around her. She was a devoted member
of Church of the Eternal Word in Columbus, MS, where she served as pastor’s wife, worship leader, and
missionary.
Throughout the years, Marie served in several leadership capacities in the MWTDC. She served on the
Missionary Board, Pastor’s Wives, as well as worship leader.
Marie had a passion for worship, God’s people, and loved her family. Her worship was contagious and it
would spread like fire shut up in your bones. She was an avid witness, encouraging people to “get right and
stay right.” Her love for her family was unmatched. She enjoyed laughing, knitting, and talking on the phone. Marie will be deeply missed by her husband of 52 years, Lou Nabors, Sr, and her children, Yonya (Jesse), Yawanna (Vernell), Lou Jr.(Donna), Yolunda, and bonus daughter, Michelle. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Taylor, Kaitlin, Trey (Morgan), Kacie, Kierra, Charles, Dalen, PJ, Savannah, and Winston, as well as great grands, and a host of nieces and nephews.
