Mr. Lewis Calvin Smith's Obituary
Lewis Calvin Smith was born on July 2, 1980 to L. C. Moss and Sheila Smith in Meridian, Mississippi. At an early age, he attended St. Paul Baptist Church. He was a 1998 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. Lewis had a passion for driving trucks, and riding motorcycles. He loved spending time with family and friends. His truck driving skills allowed him to gain employment with Lauderdale County, a job that he truly loved. On Monday July 3, 2023 at Ochsner Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS, God dispatched His angels to usher Lewis Calvin Smith into paradise. While his time on earth may have been short, his legacy will continue to live throughout eternity. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mammie C. Moss and L.C. Moss, Sr; his maternal grandfather, Richard Smith; his uncles, Solomon Willis (Wanda), Billy Willis and Wayne Smith. Lewis was a light and love that will truly be missed by his parents L.C. Moss (Andria) and Sheila Mosley (James); the mother of his children, Vanessa Martinez; his children, Deashawn and Kiyanna Martinez; his sister, Daysha Andrews (Connor); his loving grandmother, Ora Smith Cole; his aunts, Lillie Etheridge and Angela Young; his cousin, Terrence Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
