Mrs. Lila Mae Willis-Dunnigan's Obituary
Lila Mae Willis-Dunnigan was born on a beautiful day on May 22, 1942, to the late Bennie & Vistula Willis. On Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Jeff Anderson Medical Center, our father whispered come to take your rest and with no hesitation, she fell asleep in the “Arms of Jesus”.
Lila gave her life to Christ at an early age and she became a member of New Cannon Life Center.
Lila was united in marriage to Johnny Dunnigan over 50 years and to this union (9) children were born. Lila was a dedicated housekeeper to Kathy Temple and her family who loved her dearly.
Lila is preceded in death by: her grandson, Roosevelt Tomarrio Brock; her granddaughter, Janessa Johnson; two (2) siblings: Beatrice Hanes and Roosevelt Willis.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Johnny Dunnigan; her children Susie Brock (Carson, CA); Brenda Mason (San Antonio, TX); Dorothy Dunnigan (San Antonio, TX); Linda & Glenn Stribling; Carolyn & Tracy Moore; Sheila & Willie Amerson; Johnny James Dunnigan; Robert & Josephine Dunnigan; Michael Sr. and Michael Jr.; (3) stepchildren: Fredrick Crowell, James Martin, all of Meridian, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who loved her dearly.
