Mrs. Lillie B. Carpenter's Obituary
Mrs. Lille B. Ramsey Carpenter was born on February 17, 1940 in Vimville, Mississippi to Milton and Laura Ramsey who preceded her in death. Lilie was educated in the Lauderdale County School System where she graduated from Middleton Attendance Center. Her spiritual education began at an early age at the Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member until her health declined. Many wonderful years of her life were spent with her friend and "soul mate" the late Harvey Carpenter, Sr. Lillie's pride and joy however was the special relationship she had with her three boys; Jerry, Donald Wayne "Dog" ( deceased), and Michael. Lillie always exemplified a genuine love for life. She will always be remembered for her kindness and love of all people. The family of Dr. Gary Boone recognized these unique characteristics and considered her a member of the family rather than just a faithful and dutiful employee. On October 2, 2017, Lille departed this life where she will be united with her loved ones in heaven. She will be especially missed by her sons Jerry and Michael Ramsey of Meridian. Grandson, Christopher (Cherrell) Dean, Hattiesburg, MS, and four great grandchildren; Aden, Amir, Ahmard and Natajha, sisters; Juanita Ramsey and Mable Ramsey Billips both of Meridian, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her niece, Jeanetta Walker, nephew, Jamie Kelly, Mae Wright, and the Grace family were very special to her.
