I am sorry to hear of Listers passing. I met Katie and Lister in 1975 in Omaha, Nebraska at Offutt A.F.B. They were a beautiful couple.
I met Lister in the summer of 2014, through his wife Katie. Lister immediately became my friend and kind of a big brother. Lister would often help me with computer issues, advise me that my auto tire threads were wearing and where was the best place to purchase new tires at a reasonable price.
He and Katie would drive to Bassfield to attend my family's annual Crawfish Boil. We also would often met for lunch in Hattiesburg.
Though I only knew Lister for six years it feels like I have known him all my life. God has a reason for allowing things to happen we may never know or understand His wisdom, but we simply have to trust His Will. My heart aches but I know Lister is in a better place
Love you Katie

Growing up it was always a happy time when Aunt Ruth was coming home. We would get to see Lister, Barbara, Pearl, Ethel, Chester, & Irene. Our favorite cousins. Lister was special then and we always considered him special. Our real important cousin. We will miss you LB. We love you. Katie when we met you we shared the love we had for Lister to you. We are here in spirit for you. The Petersons, Halls, and Hammons.
Bless to have a father who persuaded a loving relationship with me. May you enjoy your rest in our heavenly father arms or get to work tending the garden and lawn up there. Grateful for your love and desire to bring out the best in yourself, me and everyone who you came in contact with.
