Mr. Lonnie Carr Sr.'s Obituary
Lonnie "Sang" Carr, Sr. was born on May 23, 1947 to Thomas Lee Morgan and Ollie Mae Mosley in Daleville, MS. He was the last of all of his siblings to transition to be with our Heavenly Father. Lonnie graduated from Roosevelt High School Class of 1967. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. He later became employed with Nipsco (Gas and Electric) Company where he retired after 33 years of service. Lonnie was very laid back and quiet. He was a go-getter and always ready for what the next day had to offer. He loved fishing, gardening, and being out in nature. Lonnie met and married the love of his life, Cynthia Carr and although they didn't have any children of their own, they blended their families of eight (8) children into their lives. June 6, 2023, God saw fit to dispatch his angels by Lonnie's bedside for him to come to his Heavenly Home and be at rest. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Barbara George Hudgins, Theresa Carr, and Lamar Carr. Lonnie truly leaves behind a legacy to be remembered and cherished by all who loved him. Lonnie leaves behind to honor his life and cherish his memories his loving, caring and devoted wife Cynthia Carr; two (2) sons: Lonnie Carr, Jr. (Brandye) and Jason Rashad Carr (Patricia); six (6) daughters: Brenda Moore, Tammy Carr-Lowder, Donita Core, Crystal Calhoun, Jennifer Calhoun, and Lisa Hogan; thirteen.(13) grandchildren: Lonnie Carr, III, Brittany Carr, Colby Beckwith and Yasmine Carr, Kyra Core, Shanaizha Core, T'Challa Fyerson, Ja'wan Core, Jose Payne, Jr., Brealand Payne, James Lowder, Aleshia Lowder, Liyah Hogan and L.J.
