Mrs. Lorine Hopson's Obituary
Mrs. Lorine Smith Hopson was born April 15, 1950 to the late Eugene Smith, Sr. and Rachel Wallace Smith in Lauderdale County.
Sister Lorine Smith Hopson confessed her faith at a early age and was a member of the Bright Light Holiness Church under the leadership of Apostle Curtis Dubose, Sr. Years later Bright Light Holiness became Alpha and Omega Holiness Church where Apostle Freddie Ford, Sr. resides as Chief Apostle.
Sister Lorine Smith was joined in holy matrimony to George Hopson, Sr. in 1967.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: George Hopson, Sr.; five children, three daughters: Angela (Willie) Campbell, Felicia Hopson and Tiffany (Lee) Amerson all of Toomsuba, MS; two sons: George Hopson, Jr. and Demetric (Joann) Hopson both of Toomsuba, MS; twenty grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She leaves also to cherish her memory three brothers: Earlie B. Hunter of Hartford, CT, Abraham (Thelma) Smith of Toomsuba, MS and Tony Bell of Lauderdale, MS; Seven sister-n-laws: Celestine Smith of Hartford, CT, Rosa Smith, Mary A. Smith, -Hattie (Joseph) Wyatt, Dorothy (Willie) Anthony, Betty Hopson and Bonnie Lee all of Toomsuba, MS; three brother-n-laws: Lucius Scott, Sr. of Toomsuba, MS, Wille (Bemestine) Hop.5on and J.D. (Mattie Bell) Hopson of Meridian, MS.
Proceeding Sister Lorine Smith Hopson in death was her parents: Eugene Smith, Sr. and Rachel Wallace Smith; three brothers: Eugene Smith, Jr., Odell Smith and R.J. Smith; and two sisters: Elosie Wilson and Ella Jean Scott.
Sister Lorine Smith Hopson departed this life on January 9, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
On January 9, 2014 Sister Lorine Smith Hopson gave up the ghost in this life to unite in her eternal home where there is no sickness, no sorrows and no pain.
