Mrs. Lorraine Boyd's Obituary
Lorraine Boyd, 56, of Meridian, MS, was called home to God on December 23, 2021. Lorraine is the wife of James Boyd and the Mother of John Sims and Raven Boyd, and four bonus children. Lorraine was a compassionate, kind, and generous woman who loved her family very much. Lorraine grew up in Meridian, MS, where she attended and graduated from Meridian High School and Meridian Community College. She worked at Bimbo bakery for 29 years, and she retired in 2017. Lorraine loved going to church, spending time with her family, and living the retired life. Lorraine is survived by her husband, James Boyd. Her two children: John Sims (Yasmine) of Houston, TX and Raven Boyd of Meridian, MS; Ramus Boyd of Slidell, LA, Jamus Boyd, Qaunta Boyd of Atlanta, GA, Shuanta Boyd of Meridian, MS; her sisters: Diane Sims of Los Angles, CA; Jacqueline Sims, Darnice Hariston (Gabriel), Monae Sims; Three Brothers Lawrence Sims, Milton Sims, Angelo Sims all of Meridian, MS: and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lorraine was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence; his mother, Alma L. Sims, her two brothers, Jerry Sims and Eric Sims, and nephew Alex "Drico" Sims.
