Mrs. Lottie Martin's Obituary
Sister Lottie Martin made her peaceful transition from this life to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Sister Martin was the wife of the late Bishop Henry Martin. She was born into The Pentecostal Church of God, under the leadership of the Apostle W.J. Peterson. She faithfully served under the administrations of Bishop J.J. Sears, Bishop Marcela Evins and Bishop Andrew Stephens. She was a dedicated praying woman, and she traveled with her companion (Bishop Henry Martin) throughout the District and states for many years. Sister Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Henry Martin, and daughter, Patty Martin, Mother Ora D. Hutton, Brother, James Knott, Sisters; Ora Capers, Rose Henderson, Lucy Sanders, and Sister Ethel Alford. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Sheila Bates (Bishop Jerome Bates); a very special granddaughter, Charity Bates, one grandson, Jerome Christopher Bates, II, a brother; Amos Hutton, Jr., nieces, nephews, other relatives and church family.
