Ms. Lou Ella Brown's Obituary
To those who knew her, intimately, she was Mom, Aunt Lou, or Grandma. For those who knew her personally she was loving, good natured and always concerned about others. However, for those who knew her professionally, her brilliance in the kitchen was to some intimidating, but often enjoyed by many. Lou Ella Brown's upbringing is a living testament of prayer and trust in God. On January 17, 1944 in Lauderdale County Mississippi, Lou Ella Brown was born to the Late Leonard and Catherine Lindsey Brown. Lou Ella confessed Christ at an early age and served faithfully in church as a kingdom citizen until her health failed. Lou Ella obtained her educational background from Bell Institute in Livingston Alabama, and Meridian Junior College. She was a hard worker, one of integrity, accountability and commitment beyond measure. Lou worked fearlessly as an awesome finger licking good cook. Providing delicious meals at Weidmann's Restaurant, Northwood Country Club and for over Thirty years she prepared meals daily at 15th A venue Baptist Church in Meridian, MS. Lou Ella was like an energizer bunny, she kept going, going, going. In spite of her having experienced a long tiring day, she would always make it to bible study with Mya by her side. Lou Ella was preceded in death by her Siblings, Maggie Graham, Leonardo Brown and one Grandson D' Angelo Alford. Lou Ella leaves to cherish her memory Seven children; Betty Portis, Jessie Brown, Brenda Brown, Cynthia (Walter) Hare, all of Meridian, MS; Joe (Glenda) Brown, Butler, Alabama, Janice (Larry) McClelland Killeen Texas; Patricia (Marcus) Raine, Selma, Alabama. Her Lifelong Siblings: Olivia Eades, Mary Mc Williams both of Rochester, New York; Leonard (Bobbie) Brown York, Alabama. A special friend, Johnny Clyde Campbell. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. Her Fifthteenth A venue Baptist Church family and dear to her heart, her Freedom Rock Christian Fellowship Church family.
