Mrs. Louise S. Dancy's Obituary
LOUISE SMITH DANCY, born March 6, 193 7 to Hattie Thompson and Curtis Smith of Noxubee County, MS John H. Dancy, husband precede his wife in death on January 23, 2008. Sister Dancy worked as a domestic worker and in farming. She and her husband raised her child and later helped raised their grandchildren. She loved her great grandchildren as well, was caregiver to her employers children too. Her mission in life was to be her brothers keeper. She checked on her neighbors daily and provided whatever assistance that she could whether it was food, cleaning or sharing the word of God. Her special food to make was Spice bread which she shared with others. Sister Dancy was added to the church of Christ and attended long as she was able to do so. She leaves to mourn one daughter Gloria (William) Carey, two grandchildren Jonathan M. Carey and Charla J. Carey. Two great granddaughters MaKayla A. Carey, and Jaelyn R. Carey. Also a host of friends in the body of Christ, relatives and lifelong friends. Bro. Michael Murray her adopted grandson, visited and prayed with her several times weekly when she was hospitalized and weekly when she not in the hospital.
