Mrs. Louise Dingle's Obituary
Mrs. Louise Davis-Dingle was born to the late Mr. Frank Davis and Ms. Carrie Bell Lewis on September 30, 1942, in Emelle, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie Dingle; sister, Lucille; and brothers, OC (Pat), Hence (Shunk) and Mack (Macarthur).
At a young age, Louise accepted Jesus Christ s her personal Savior and joined Mary Winston Baptist Church in Emelle, Alabama.
Louise was educated in the public-school systems of Alabama and New York. She attended Sumpter Ville Elementary School and later a New York City Adult Education program where she earned her GED.
In 1960, Louise moved to Brooklyn, New York. While in Brooklyn, she met and was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Willie Dingle. This union was blessed with three children. She joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Pastor Joe L. Parker, both in Brooklyn, New York.
After 32 years of dedicated service at Art and Leather in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, Louise retired. In 2012, Louise came out of retirement and dedicated 6 years of living service to Friends of Crown Heights Day Care Center as a Teacher's Aide.
Louise was loving, kind, and caring. She LOVED her family and friends. One of her expressions of love was felt through her passion for cooking and feeding everybody. Fried Fish Fridays was a staple in her kitchen and Thanksgiving Dinner was a feast. Whenever she said, "Don't let me tell Madea", you knew she meant business and she as going to tell her mother. Her sister Hattie would say, "I want to talk to her too!" and Joyce would say, "Well, I'm leaving!"
When she was able to get around, she loved raising her two parakeets and her tank of gold fish. She also loved growing her plants and her rose bush in the front of the house.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 6:24pm, Louise transitioned from this life on Earth to eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her three loving and devoted children Robert Lee of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania; Herald of Saint Roberts, Missouri; and Joyce Ann of Brooklyn, New York; seven grandchildren: Champ, Alexis, Kaylen,
Cameron, Malcom, Mercedes and Robert Lee, Jr; five sisters: Bessie Killins of Meridian, Mississippi; Irene Lewis of Montgomery, Alabama; Hattie Sisco of San Francisco, California, Annie (Darryl) Fluker of Meridian, Mississippi and Jessie Hodges of Meridian Mississippi; three sisters in law, Isabella Budget of Brooklyn, New York; Evelyn Wade of Hollywood, Florida; Margie (Columbus) Daney of Severn, Maryland; one brother-in-law, Mose Dingle, Jr. of Manning, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
