Mrs. Louise Gordon Mitchell's Obituary
Mrs. Louise Mitchell, daughter ofthe late Mr. James Gordon and Mrs. Queen Victoria Rogers Gordon was born June 11, 1926 in Lauderdale county Mississippi. Louise accepted Christ at an early age and united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Daleville Mississippi. She attended and was in the graduating-class of Columbia Hospital of Richland County School of Nursing held at Bethel Methodist Church on Monday June, 2, 1952. At a young age she met and was united in Holy Matrimony with Mr. Joseph Mitchell. She joined Savannah Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health declined. Louise was a kind hearted and given person always caring for others as her motto was 'Once a nurse, always a nurse. ' Mrs. Louise Gordon Mitchell was preceded in death by her Father James Gordon, her Mother Mrs. Queen Victoria Rogers Gordon, Two Sisters Rosie Lee Gordon, and Willie Bell Burrage, and One Brother James Robert Gordon. Sister Gordon was called from earth to heaven on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 with her devoted Niece and Nephew at her side. Left to cherish precious memories are three Brothers: Rev. Leo Gordon and Frank Gordon Meridian, MS; Sylvester Gordon Columbia South Carlina. Nieces, Nephews, A host of other relatives and friends.
