Mrs. Lucy Ann Hopson Gowdy's Obituary
Sis. Lucy Ann Hopson-Gowdy was born December 3, 1927 to the late Jake and the late Sarah Hopson of Cuba, Alabama. She accepted Christ and joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cuba, AL at an early age where she was a faithful member. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Cleveland Gowdy Sr. for 66 blessed years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three (3) children, one (1) brother, and two (2) sisters. Sis. Lucy Ann Hopson-Gowdy leaves to cherish her loving memories to her loving children: Cleveland Gowdy Jr., Johnny (Debra) Gowdy Johnny Frank Gowdy, Sarah Gowdy, and Annie Gowdy all of Lauderdale, MS, Shirley (Henry) Darden of Jacksonville, FL and Vivian (Johnny) Darden of Porterville, MS; one sister, Katie Edwards of Chicago, IL; one brother-n-law, EB Gowdy; one sister-in-law, Annie Marie Clayton both of Meridian, MS; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her dearly.
