Mrs. Luella Pruitt's Obituary
Luella Pruitt, age 92, passed away on August 12, 2020. She was born in Clarke County, Mississippi to the late Henry and Ella May Crosby. She married Thomas Jordan October 10, 1946, who preceded her in death April 9, 1974. She married again to William Pruitt who also preceded her in death. A testament to her love of people are the friendships she made during her lengthy career at Archusa Nursing Home as a CNA. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Luberta Jones, Johnnie Stovall, and Henry; three children, Thomas Jr., Clifford and Julie Riggs. Luella is survived by her siblings, Bertha Lewis, Viola Pearson and John (Pat); her children, Julius (Gloria) Beverly Maple (Perry), Milford (Terry), Dean (Lisa), and Kelvin (Allison); daughters-in-law, Mary (Thomas Jr.) and Valerie (Clifford); 30 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a host of other family members.
