Mr. Luther L. DuBose's Obituary
Mr. Luther L. DuBose was born in Meridian, Mississippi on December 7, 1926 to the late Mrs. Annie Rogers DuBose and Mr. Earnest DuBose. Family members who have preceded him in death are his two daughters Ms. Brenda DuBose and Ms. Alice Harvey; his son Mr. Darryl DuBose and two brothers Mr. Otis DuBose, Mr. Roger DuBose. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful lifelong member of Okatibee Missionary Baptist Church. He maintained his membership and performed as a Trustee/Treasurer and Deacon for many years until his health began to fail.
He served in the United States Army ad was honorably discharged after having participated in World War II. He had a number of hobbies and hunting and fishing; but, he loved to travel. If you said “Let’s” he would say, “go!”.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 60 year Edna DuBose, Two son Otis McGlothin (Warren, Michigan), Benny DuBose (Barbara) (Meridian, MS), Ronald K. Parnell (Minneapolis, MN), and daughters Linda Scott (Meridian, MS), Bonnie DuBose (Meridian, MS), Elaine DuBose (Meridian, MS), and Jacqueline Davis (Meridian, MS). Two brother-in-law's Lee Nell Hall of Gulfport, MS and Frank Bell of Jackson, MS. A very special friend Mr. Gerald Johnson along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
