Mrs. Mamie Joyce Berry's Obituary
Sis Mamie Joyce Berry, 78 of Meridian, Mississippi passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1941 in Troy, Alabama. Sister Berry was born into The Pentecostal Church of God, under the leadership of, Bishop J.J. Sears. She faithfully served under the administration of Bishop Marcella Evins and Bishop Andrew Stephens. She was a faithful Praying women. She served as a choir member, sick committee member, fund raiser committee member, and many more functions of The Pentecostal Church of God, for many years. Sister Berry was a long time employee of Parkview Elementary School, as a Foster Grandparent. She was a volunteer at The Pentecostal Christian Academy, where she retired. She loved to sing, cook, and being around people, especially children. Sister Mamie Joyce Berry was preceded in death by her parents; Henderson Siler and Willie Mae Mincey Siler; Siblings (three brothers) A.C. Siler, Jessie Siler, Bobby Joe Siler; (five Sisters) Hazel Williams, Ludale Peas, Bonnie Lou Jackson, Elary Lou Pruitt and Hellen Ward. She left many cherishing memories with her sister: Jaunita Green, (Charlie) Troy, AL; six daughters: Annie Orum (Charlie}, Meridian, MS; Dorothy Howard (Victor), Troy, AL; Anne Berry, California; Cheryl Campbell (Carl), VA; Audrey Booker (Michael), Detroit, Ml; Valerie Alexander, Atlanta, GA; and One son; Cliff Berry, Meridian, MS and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
