Mr. Mance Rujay Jennings' Obituary
Mance Rujay Jennings a.k.a. "Jay Jay"-youngest son of Fannie Mae and the late Rudolph Jennings. Jay was born December 27th, 1973 in Meridian, Mississippi where he grew into young adulthood. During his most formative years, Jay played sports, enjoyed art, and spending the summers with his siblings. While in high school he met his high school sweetheart Lakeisha. They had two children, Justice and Jayda Jennings, moved to Atlanta, Georgia and married May 29th, 2004. Jay worked independently as a barber and a tree-serviceman for most of his adult life; however, his ultimate goal was to reach others through ministry and the word of God. Jay was fun, loving, intelligent and a humble follower of Christ. He was a hard worker who gave endlessly and often found happiness in his passions, consisting of fishing with friends, riding on his motorcycle and watching his beloved Atlanta Falcons play. Above all else, he loved and cherished his family, especially his wife and children. His children thought the world of him. He was truly the embodiment of humility and love. and could keep you laughing for hours on end. Jay passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2021 due to Cancer. Despite this, he remained an upstanding man and will be missed dearly by the many people whose lives he touched. Jay is survived by his wife Lakeisha Jennings, two chilp.ren: Justice and Jayda Jennings; granddaughter Olivia Peterson; mother Fannie Mae Jennings; three brothers: Allen (Kathy), Donameechie (Angel), Tony (Karen) Jennings; four sisters: Gwendolyn Hicks-Shakoor, Patricia Sims (Robert "Hank" Phillips), Edna Cole (James), and Debra Jennings, a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and many friends. 2
