Mrs. Maranda Alleen Oatis' Obituary
On September 12, 2021, an angel was called to enter Heaven's gates. Maranda Alleen Oatis was born February 16, 1937, to the late Alleen Oatis Sr. and Eddie D. Michaels m Sumerall, MS. She became a member of True Way Holiness Church in Hattiesburg, MS where she accepted Christ as her savior and later made her membership with the Reveal House of Prayer Holiness Church of Stonewall, MS. She served as a missionary, Sunday School teacher, choir member, a church mother who was known for her amazing smile and welcoming everyone with open arms. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen Oatis, Jr., Ronnie Oatis and Leonzette Oatis; one sister, Floneil Oatis; her daughter, Mildred Hughes; her sons, Eddie Roberson and Gustavus Roberson along with her grandfather, grandmother, aunts, uncles and other , relatives. Maranda Alleen Oatis leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Kervin (Roshelle) Roberson, Zonia Roberson, both of Buffalo, NY and Elder Mary L. Ratcliff of Stonewall, MS; her sisters, Vonghette Oatis of Fayetteville, NC and Erma Jean Harris of Sumerall, MS. She also leaves behind a large host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.
