Mr. Marcus Eugene Nelson's Obituary
Marcus Eugene Nelson was born on September 16, 1986, in Passaic, New Jersey, to the late Joyce Ann Nelson and Eugene Nelson. He was known for his reserved and introverted nature.
He was a proud graduate of Quitman High School. Marcus had a passion for football, passionately supporting the Carolina Panthers, and enjoyed watching wrestling.
Marcus had a special friendship with his bestfriend Kevin Knezric, a unwavering friendship throughout his life.
Marcus departed this life on May 9, 2024, at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Katy, Texas. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Joyce Ann Nelson, and his brother, Chris Roberts.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted father, Eugene Nelson and his fiancé, Ethel Thompson of Shubuta, MS; his four sisters, Jennifer Nelson, Krerima Hamilton, and Nakita McCarty of Shubuta, MS, and Denisa Nelson of Quitman, MS; his special Goddaughter, Shanicka Ruffin of Quitman, MS; and his brother, Eugene (Anitra) Hamilton of Madison, MS. Marcus is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will forever remember his quiet strength and kind spirit.
Marcus will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
