Mr. Marcus A. Peters' Obituary
Marcus Aaron Peters was born July 7, 1986, to the late James E. Peters, and the late Barbara Maxine Shadwick Peters, in Lauderdale County, MS.
Marcus graduated from West Lauderdale High School, and worked at Midd Meridian until he moved into a new group home in Richton, MS. Marcus was a member of Pilgrim Hill United Methodist Church. He loved attending church, and looked forward to his Uncle Leonard coming to pick him up on Sunday morning. He also loved shopping and spending his Aunt Rosemary's money. After he would spend his monthly allowance, she would tell him she didn't have any money, and he would ask, "well what did you do with all your money?" Marcus loved cars, drawing cars, reading about cars, looking at pictures of cars, and he could tell you the name of everyone of them.
Marcus also loved his family, and they loved him, especially his first cousins that he knew. Marcus has continued all these years to ask if he would ever see his mom again. Now they are together again.
Marcus departed this life (due to a heart attack) on July 29, 2023, at his residence in Richton, MS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James E. Peters and Barbara Maxine Peters, and his maternal grandparents, George W. Shadwick, and Rosie M. Shadwick.
He is survived by his Uncle Nathan Shadwick, Aunt Georgia Wiley, Uncle Leonard Shadwick (Aunt Emma), and Aunt Rosemary Harris (Uncle Gene), all of Meridian, Ms; and his first cousins, Dr.
Tammy Shadwick of Meridian, MS.; LaTanya Shadwick, Radhiya Wiley, LaNeatra Shadwick, all of Houston, Texas; and Tarik Wiley of Olive Branch, MS.
